Wayne Karrfalt writes and edits Cynopsis: Digital, a daily newsletter and podcast covering the world of digital media and entertainment in short, sharp bursts. Wayne is a veteran entertainment journalist and features writer who has written about television and film for numerous trade journals – (Broadcasting & Cable, Multichannel News, Television Week, Extra Extra), advertising magazines – (Advertising Age, Adweek) and consumer publications (The New York Times). During the 90’s he served as Tokyo Correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter and Variety Deal Memo and was a freelance film and arts critic for The Japan Times, The Yomiuri Shimbun, The Asahi Evening News and Kinema Jumpo, the oldest film magazine in the world. He is currently a member of the Television Critics Association and resides with his wife and flat-coated retriever in Seattle, Washington.
