The Faculty Development Grant Program gives college and university media educators the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a professional media environment. The Program allows teaching faculty to spend up to six weeks of the summer “interning” with a TV station, cable system, broadcast or cable network or program distributor. The goals are to increase teaching effectiveness through first-hand experience and to nurture relationships between educators and the industry.
