Hotspotting, refers to clicking on an object in a video to get more information on it or even to buy it, is finally taking off thanks to Web video. Now brands and media companies are using the technology for direct selling in their Web videos. Companies like ConciseClick, VideoClix and ClikThrough are reporting tremendous engagement rates and purchase rates with their clickable capabilities.

DISCOPRO PROGRAM ANNOUNCED - HIGHLIGHTING VIBRANT CEE CO-PRODUCTION SECTOR AND PRESENTING EXCLUSIVE PITCHING OPPORTUNITY

Organizers of the annual DISCOP EAST event today announced details of DISCOPRO, the training and pitching program which will take place on Tuesday June 22, 2010. Held the day before the opening of the 18th edition of the well established Budapest-based content market (June 23-25), the DISCOPRO program will focus on the vibrant co-production sector in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

DISCOPRO will once again explore the wealth of opportunities available in this region, in a television production sector which continues to flourish despite the current economic climate. Organizers of DISCOPRO have worked closely with a number of CEE partners, including Bavaria Media, to produce a compelling program of pitching sessions, events and projects to take place throughout the day.
