In short, they have to evolve. Jonathan Prince has done just that, building on his base as a showrunner for network and cable series, and as the EP for scripted Web series that live on network. Today's Face of Content Webinar 7/17/07
The days of the big guys making all TV programming decisions and all the money from it are over. These days, independent content creators are sometimes attracting more viewers than popular traditional shows. And where the eyeballs are, so is the cash. Everyone is looking for a deal, and there are plenty of deals going around. More advertising dollars are being spent online then ever, and content providers, both traditional and new media, are jockeying for the same money. Joost, Azureus and other new media players are now competing with NBC, ABC and CBS.
Broadband is no longer just a key platform for content distribution. All of the major networks and studios and many consumer-goods companies have original online programming. Sony features webisodes of older shows on MySpace and VH1 has original shows premiering on Joost. And it doesn't stop there. Many producers as well as networks like Fox and the Sci-Fi Channel are now choosing to launch their shows online in advance of their television premieres while MSN sets online record by streaming Live Earth to 8 million people.
In this information packed virtual seminar, the successful producers of Prom Queen, major portal MSN and video search engine Pixsy break down the mechanics of creating buzz worthy, engaging content, building an audience and ultimately monetizing video content.

Understanding Mobile Media: Untapped Opportunities and Hidden Challenges
Driven by a society that wants instant gratification, 24-hour access and portability above all else, consumers have forever changed entertainment. As the term mass media threatens to become obsolete, the time has come to engage and start a one-on-one dialog through the only medium that is always on, and never leaves consumer's side - the mobile phone. The audience for mobile exceeds broadcast TV, the web, and cable in sheer numbers and functionality. There are currently 2.3 billion mobile phones in the world, with which the average person spends 10-15 hours per day. On top of that the mobile channel offers the most personalized user experience yet, with rich media, personalization and interactive capabilities available anytime, anywhere. But it's complicated - dozens of mobile operators and network configurations; hundreds of devices with a variety of media formats; and numerous channels of distribution with different business models. Overcoming these hurdles is tough.
In this one-hour web seminar John Puterbaugh of NellyMoser and Adam Zawl of INmobile.org will show you how to successfully overcome the hurdles of going mobile and staying there.
This web seminar was presented by NellyMoser and INmobile.org and sponsored by NellyMoser and Microsoft.

Webinar-Whats All the Buzz About?
Whats All the Buzz About? Understanding and Leveraging Consumer Generated Media (or Online Word of Mouth)
Why did movies Snakes on a Plane and Borat become the talk of the nation before they were released? Why do we all know about the Mentos experiment? And how can you tap into this marketing phenomenon? Join us for the last NATPE web seminar of 2006 as Stacey Lynn Koerner and Lydia Loizides of The Consumer Experience Practice present Whats All the Buzz About? Understanding and Leveraging Consumer Generated Media.
Learn how fans are shaping and responding to content and programming by using the next-generation text-mining tools and how the Internet has taken word-of-mouth to a whole new level. Theyll also explore what devices consumers are watching content on and how this might change in 2007. And finally is there a big enough audience for programmers to reach on other platforms besides television? On Thursday, December 14 NATPE offered this web seminar on how technology, content and consumers have been forever changed by the Internet.
